Repairman Certifications

What is this rating?
The repairman certification is typically granted to employees of certificated repair stations or manufacturers. This certification will allow you to work on very specific aircraft components. There are different categories including maintenance and inspection. This certificate does not require formal examinations.
What can you do with it?
With this rating you will be able to perform maintenance and inspections of specific components, such as propellers, instruments etc, under the authority of a certificated repair station or manufacturer.
What can’t you do with it?
Holding only a repairman certificate will not allow you to perform work outside of the authorized scope. You will not be able to return to service aircraft or components, you must have the appropriate airframe and or powerplant certificate to do this.
